Funding Assistance

The mandate of Bow Corridor Continuing Education Council and Alberta Advanced Education is to provide quality education to the residents of the Bow Valley.

It is our goal that all residents be able to access any adult education courses provided. If, for any reason, you feel unable to participate in our adult learning opportunities, please contact the BCCEC Coordinator at 762-8114 or email bccec@telus.net.

Specific courses can be funded through the following bursaries. These courses are indicated as bursary eligible on the course listings.

Bursaries currently available are:
Bow Valley Learning Council Bursary
(provided by Alberta Advanced Education & Technology)

Eligible courses include:

- Adult Basic Literacy
- English Language Learning (aka ESL
- French Language Learning (aka FSL)
- Community Issues
- Employability Enhancement

Bursaries are for a maximum of $50 per course. To be eligible you must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, and reside in the Bow Valley.

The BVLC Bursary is administered by the coordinator of the Bow Valley Learning Council.

Hostelling International - Pacific Mountain Region Bursary
(provided by Hostelling International - Pacific Mountain Region)

Eligible courses include those in the following learning areas:

- Outdoor pursuits
- Travel & Languages
- First Aid/CPR
- Avalanche Safety Training (AST)

Bursaries are for a maximum of $50 per course. To be eligible you must reside in the Bow Valley.

This bursary is administered by the coordinator of the Bow Valley Learning Council.
